I was at Aldi yesterday, with similar low-priced produce.
Yes, Maryanne, you must be the last person to know about vinegar! ;-D I used it the other day in a stainless steel Dutch oven that had been scrubbed clean but still had the imprint of beans on the bottom. A cup of vinegar and 2 or 3 cups of water and I let it simmer for a few minutes then sit. I run the dishwasher empty with a cup or two, I do the same with the washer. I have a stainless steel Cuisinart electric kettle that builds up limestone inside, so every few months I pour a cup of vinegar into a couple of cups of water and let the kettle heat to boiling a couple of times.
This is all using White Vinegar, 9% (pickling vinegar) that I also use full strength out in the yard for weed control. Not all stores carry that strength (most have 5%) but I find that the small town grocery stores around here carry it (for pickling).
