The firing is an unmitigated unsuccess! R has not shown up yet So I phoned: he is just leaving. OK. I had to do all the snow shoveling to have a place to put the stove wood. It was good therapy after the kiln mess.I just went at it in my t-shirt at 20 degrees F. The sun is shining. A beautiful day. Hope R is here before the wood guys. He's got the money, honey!

Oh, a few pieces are OK. One is beautiful - the same glaze on other pieces - a mess!? Half a dozen rejects. One shelf-full that I was hoping would get fixed in this firing - got worse. This automatic kiln is not doing me any favours. I will go back to the old beat up one that I have some control - OOPS. Cannot do that; it needs a new element. There was a nice one on Kijiji the other day for only $250 but too large for me.

I am going to have some lunch and read I'm Your Man, bio of Leonard Cohen, and enjoy the sunshine and contemplate the situations.    Hope the sun is shining wherever you are! And you are not snowed under!
