My earlier projection of snowfall was askew. Around my house and from what I could see from inside there seemed to be only 2 inches. But, as my luck had it, the wind had moved the overnight falling snow elsewhere. On going outside and driving around, it seems more like 6 inches or so of snow fell last night.

It just reinforces the inaccuracy estimating a situation by looking at one specific area from afar. ;)
