Pope resignation? Maybe the time has come for the Roman Catholic church to put an end to their miserable 2,000 Reich and set an example for other outmoded dinosaur religions to follow suite and yield to a brighter emergent spirituality that isn't founded on wholesale murder, inquisition, torture and the propagation of superstition, lies, ignorance, child abuse, AIDS, homophobia, apparitions and bad translations.

As John Peel said : 'The Roman Catholic church are a waste of talent and electricity'. Or was that ELP? A similar level of pomp, bombast and complete lack of concern for the adoring audience.

Furthermore:

Numbers are thinning out - album sales aren't what they were - they're doing all these big venues but half the seats are empty - even for the Bosco show at Paddy's Wigwam where they resorted to scantily clad & (allegedly) under-age dancing girls to lively things up a bit. Trouble is, they've got no new material - just same old greatest hits package trotted out over & over again. No wonder their lead singer has left them. It's like if Mark E Smith stepped down from The Fall. I think the RCC should go out with dignity instead of trundling on as their own half-assed tribute act.
