Agree with both of the previous posters. MJH is very popular around here and I know that at least one Mudcatter - Jerry Rasmussen - saw him at the Gaslight café. He was definitely a blues musician, but he was not just a blues player. You can hear folk, gospel and ragtime in his playing as well.
I only know a couple of cuts from Scrapper Blackwell, so I won't argue. Bert Jansch had the ability to put an astonishing number of influences together though!
