Anywho, sometime between when I got up to pee at 12:30 and he was okay and 2 a.m. when Sabine, one of our cats, woke me and I found him on the floor not knowing how long he'd been there, Tom had taken half of a low-dose sleeping pill. That may be the reason he was looking for a chair to sit in -- I've never known him to try to do that in the middle of the night before.

He's currently in the ER and is going to be admitted as soon as there's a bed in Telemetry. X-rays, CAT scans, etc. show no damage other than bruising and muscle wrenching, but he produced the enzyme that COULD be indicative of a heart attack (or just that he lay on the floor for awhile). Not that they think he had a heart attack, but he needs to be observed for the enzyme cycle.

Ach! Well, he hasn't fallen for a month, seen a doctor since last Thursday or been in the hospital for nine months. Just getting too complacent, eh?

I'm exhausted. Way too little sleep before 2 a.m. when I found him on the floor. Right now I'm going upstairs, turning the phone off, and taking a nap. I'll call the hospital when I wake and see where I'll find him. Then turn around and drive back there. This time with a full tank of gas (AND I got 10 cents per gallon off with Irving Rewards! SOMETHING is turning out really well this morning!)

The wind is still vicious. The roads are slushy from blowing snow. I came home the scenic shortcut and the great ponds were covered in clouds of blowing snow.
