Linn: What a load you are carrying and how fortunate Tom is to have you in his corner!

Susan: Your progress is so wonderful! I love reading about it.

SRS: Spring? Gardening? And there is no sight of bare ground up here!

R actually came home (city) just after 5 pm on Valentine's Day so we were able to go to the wonderful eve of music and dinner at the St. I cafe. Such a treat! Then back to the city. Only about 25 min trip.

In the early aft I had managed to have a long phone call with friend and health consultant but no new ideas - just DO MORE!

So I checked website of the pottery supplier and found no list of raw materials. Phoning got me no where and I was not about to drive 20 miles to try to get supplies they might not have. SO I went back into my shell to figure out what to do. Tah dah! I can send an email! But then life went in other directions and I have not done that yet.

Friday: came to the country and managed a few tasks but not in the studio. Detox bath took a couple hours and then went to the cafe for music - that was very good but often so loud that my brain was unhappy. It was too inconsistent for ear plugs, which also hurt the quality of the music. The people, nearby, who talked loudly throughout had voices that grated on me, as well as the annoyance of their rude behaviour. I used a great deal of energy trying not to be explosively angry. Went home exhausted.

Nice brekkie on Sat - pineapple pancakes!, then R went back to the city. He needed to go and come back and go again before dark. He is not task oriented.

I managed to make 3 qts of black bean soup/salsa and a very long phone call to a dear friend in the NW. Then went to the library to return week overdue books. Need to put due dates into computer! Borrowed a few more , including one on the brain which may be helpful.

Then phoned R who was finally back and met him at the sawmill at 4 pm. A friend, thankfully, came to help him unload while I sat in the car and kept warm and read. By the time the trailer was unloaded and a cabinet loaded to go to Montreal, it was 5 pm and getting dark. Of course, the trailer has no lights so he put a portable flashing light on it and I was to travel close behind. It was 8:30 when we finally delivered the cabinet. We dropped the truck and trailer at his building and went to the house where I fell onto the bed in my clothes until I had the energy to disrobe and crawl under the covers.

A 3 hour ordeal: he kept getting too far ahead of me, took a wrong turn, lost me completely on the highway... None of which worried him but I was a basket case. Decided he still has a "teenage brain".

Jewish funeral on sunday morning was interesting and very well handled, and shiva at the home was a social event at which R knew many people and I knew none, other than the son and daughter, very slightly. In any case my auditory processing disorder precludes any conversation with more than one person. R reported to me as he socialized to try to keep me in the loop. I had one good conversation with a retired nurse, now an artist, who sat next to me for a while. I may have talked her ear off in my gratitude to have someone with whom to converse.

We actually had the rest of the day at home, watching TV and reading, simultaneously. And a simple supper after R said, "Quick! Feed me something without sugar!" Quick was cauliflower with blue cheese and pork medallions - without applesauce, what a drag but there was none! Seemed as tho everything I wanted to eat or feed him was in the country, as was the computer. I had left Sat aft, expecting to be back in a couple hours, not a couple days.

SO today I came back, started a fire in the wood stove, washed the dishes, lunch, checked the studio - too cold and I turned heat up, checked the wildlings food supply - gone but it is too cold for them to be out so will fill it tomorrow, detox bath and nap. Still tired, I decided to stay over and hope to get work done in studio tomorrow.

I will try to do that email re glaze materials in the morning when I am fresh. I think I shall soon be asleep.
