Sounds like "kamikaze kitty" is a match for Rufus, also an airborn acro-cat. Our house is post & beam with all the posts and beams exposed. There's a dormer upstairs so the bedroom has a diagonal beam leading to one of the cross beams. Rufus is the second cat in the history of the house to discover the diagonal. Calliope, though, would skibber back down the diagonal when she was done playing Sheena, Queen of the Bedroom. Rufus, on the other hand, first tries to figure out how to get to the peak of the roof, paces back and forth on the beam for awhile, then sits and surveys -- "Everything here is mine." Then, when one least expects it, he launches himself halfway across the room and lands next to me on the bed. Whoomp!
