I'm glad Karen brought up the question. I didn't know we have six variations of the song in the database. We have varieties to suit all tastes.....including bad taste. So, Karen, is one of those the version Henry Fonda sang?
By the way, as a Sacramento resident, I feel bound to report that this song is set in the Sacramento area. We have a Lake Clementine in the mountains nearby, and I have heard (but I'm not sure I believe) it was named after the ill-fated young woman in the song.
