At least 50% of the trip back to the city (it is only 30 miles) was similar to driving on a skating rink. Guess the weekend's snow had melted and frozen. Slid right into a T junction, just making it around the corner without sliding into the next corn field. More glad than usual to see the bridge. City was still OK.

Arrived in time to have supper with R at "the Bistro" - last time I'm going there. I had to keep my coat on and the food is the pits.

Too cold in the house to do anything but wrap up. But the kitchen sink is clean! I gave up on it 3 years ago. Decided there is a special place in hell for whoever invented the material out of which is is made. R informs me that, in my absence, his bro came in to cook them some food. He cleaned the sink! Best thing he has ever done. I will try to keep it that way but not going to wreck my shoulder doing it. Glad I washed the dishes before I left on Fri.!

Guess the only thing I accomplished today was getting back safely! Could be worse.
