Thanks for the kind remartks. I also learned on an inexpensive nylon-string--my parents were so proud when I played "Beautiful, Beautiful Blue Eyes" using D, D7, G and A. That was a pretty primitive instrument and a pretty juvenile performance, back in Connecticut in 1955 or so. I have gone many miles since then but am constantly amazed at how many players there are out there who are worlds better nor me. But I don't much mind. I do my thing and the world takes it or leaves it as it cares to.

I was jamming late last night in a coffee house in Lemon Grove, and we had a fine old time. I had to get back home, though, because Maggie was missing me. She goes crazy when I get home--her body does figure-eights of excitement and her tail beats loud enough to bring down the furniture. Nice to be so adored. I could get used to it, biut I guess I better not. Humility is the heart of the happy life, no matter what Rapp says.
