Yeah, Will, what I was basically saying about Pete Stanley is that I'm not sure he's a great teacher. Very good banjo player though - and his house is really something else, with banjos of various kinds on every surface.

I would recommend Dick Smith. Or alternatively, the Saturday morning banjo lessons at Cecil Sharp House are a lot of fun, taught by Ed Hicks. It's frailing style (no three finger) but you start learning tunes immediately.
