Wow. Threw out a whole bunch of empty envelopes. (I used to ask Tom if he wanted an album or something to save them in. I KNOW ephemera collectors save the damnedest things, but he claims it's not a formal hobby...) And a bunch of income tax information booklets for a number of years. Saved the covers (with the year on it) and stapled the other paperwork for that year to them. Got all the old tax information neatly filed TOGETHER in a hanging file.

Tom's newspaper columns and other writing from the '90s are now filed where they actually SHOULD be filed.

Found a really neat GWB magnet set I'd forgotten we had, plus Alf Edwards' concertina book and a bunch of set lists that need to be filed elsewhere.

Oh, and about a 4 or 5 inch stack of 2005 Newsweeks, soon to be glanced at and THROWN OUT.

And I'm starting to get the other financial files into the drawer in an organized way.

Throwing useless stuff out is wonderfully satisfying. Wish it made a bigger dent, though.
