Well you may have a point, but, atheist though I am, I have always defended religion against accusations of atrocities "done in the name of religion". I don't care for religion but I'm going to base my arguments on reality, thank you. Almost every holy war or conflict ostensibly grounded in religious hostility has actually been far more to do with politics and downright naked imperialism.
