I have stated, however, that when it came to domestic issues he had the balls to do a lot of stuff that, as a Southern senator, he didn't have to do but did anyway... He has my respect for those accomplishments... He could have taken the path of least resistance... Anyone who believes in civil rights owes him at least a little respect for that...
