I think you aced it with those missing words although "crowd on steam" sounds a strange term. I also did more research and found those two releases by Edward Meeker as well. The first was in Feb. 1911 as below and the second that I linked to earkier with the extra verses was in April 1911. Arthur Collins' release was in June 1911 with the original verses but became the bigger hit.
