I am still reflecting on the complex weekend. I flew to a town I'd never been in and found my way out into the boondocks among the deep pines for the POrtland Folk Society's annual Singtimew Frolics, noodled and sang until three in the morning, slept on a crude bunk in a rustic cabin and rolled out at 0630 the next morning, drove three and ahalf hours to Tacoma, found my way to an obscure address on a little island in the middle of the Sound, attended a memorial service, drove back, performed at a concert Saturday night, sang some more on Saturday night and Sunday. Drove up to Portland and spent a happy evening with David Ingerson and family and crashed. Monday went on a tour of the wildlands along the Columbia River Gorge, one of the most breathtaking places on earth, and then did a house concert Monday night and stayed up swapping songs until late. Rolled out at 7 AM and got yhre car returned and all checked in and flew back to San Diego, walked the dog, handled a client, and folded for the night. What a bustling agenda!

I was so glad to be home and see my wife and puppy dog again that I did two loads of laundry, tallied my accounts, took the dog to the beach and then gave her a bath and vacuumed the whole house by the time BBW got back from work.

So now I am getting back to normal for a week. Then we are driving to Arizona with the puppy dog.
