The version quoted by George Henderson is the same as that sung regularly in Folk Clubs in NE England in the 1960's.

Usually two thirds of the audience were young ladies who seemed to rather enjoy the lyrics. Still it was back in the Sixties. Have our attitudes really changed that much?
