Incidentally, am I the only one who noticed the parallels with Cinderella in the Kalevala version? Hero/heroine is mistreated by their evil foster family/stepfamily and is turned into a slave when they had previously been of high rank? (Cinderella, of course, fits that description but Kalevala Kullervo doesn't really.)
