Yes, this winter we will almost certainly go to someplace like Whitehorse or Yellowknife to view the aurora. I've seen it as a sort of red haze once over, of all places, central Illinois. I also saw it once in Korea, but it wasn't much -- just a touch of color.

When we go I shall, of course, try to call on Sgt. Preston, the Mad Trapper of Rat River, Charles Constatine and, of course, old Sam Steele. I'll also bring a "treat" for Yukon King...perhaps a haunch of moose. I'll try to avoid being 38 miles up the Canol Road in the Salmon Range at 48 below.
