I was talking to one of my sons today about how, when I was an apprentice,the workers used to engage in real conversations....many of the men had been through a major war...some two wars and they had seen it all...no bullshit, they knew what was important in life and could speak with authority on many subjects.

Today despite all the information available, most of the population seem clueless and dumbed down....maybe its the mass media, maybe information overload, but there it is, a load of static, much screaming and shouting about fuck all....and no serious search for knowledge.
I think I agree with Rap, we just seemed to be carried along in some swollen river of nonesense, unable to drag ourselves out.

Our spirit has been diluted, the causes we scream about would seem like a joke to the old boys who fought and died for a generation who threw it all away.
