You're right, LH, we like symmetry because it looks 'normal' and 'healthy'. I think that's why jesters in the Middle Ages wore harlequin clothing, specifically and deliberately to look 'odd' and therefore droll. As I get older (and older) I care less and less what I wear as long as it's comfortable, and decent. A very wealthy chap we know wears stuff that both he and even his late dad wore for years. You'd say he was a homeless person, but he's really quite rich. So one can't judge by appearances!
