Dr. Valerie Rao, a medical examiner, made the determination after reviewing video and photographs of Zimmerman after his deadly confrontation with Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman, who faces a second-degree murder charge for shooting the unarmed teenager, said Martin repeatedly slammed his head against the ground. Rao told the jury she believed that happened maybe once. Zimmerman claims he shot Martin in self-defense."
