Linn, just do a Google image search on different bug names.

Mealy bugs

Lady bug larvae

Scale

Aphids

Spider mites (not white, but destructive if your plants are under stress)

And this oh-so-scientific one:
small white fuzzy bugs on plants

If you see something that looks likely, follow the link to the page and see what it says. Do some more searching on that bug and see if you get any closer, or move on the the next likely photo or search term. At this point in time, an image search with key words is the best way to crowd-source bug ID.
