Got an email from Alan -- says they're probably nymphs of fulgorids (planthoppers). Piercing-sucking mouthparts. But they're not significant pests, so he says I should not be concerned.

I'll probably see him at the Press Room sea music singaround today and will show him the bugs. (Adults, which I found yesterday.)

This heatwave is supposed to break tonight and we'll have a short less hot less humid respite before the next one kicks in.

Just made an appointment to have the furnace get it's seasonal dusting and cleaning. AND he'll show me how to change the filters. Now I need to find a chimney sweep. Haven't burned wood for two seasons, but I'd like it attended to and Tom can no longer see to do it. The brushes are around somewhere... (After the weatherization program a couple years ago, everything in the cellar that was on the top is now on the bottom and everything on the bottom is now on the top.)

Power went out last night around 12:20. Just came back on about 11-ish. It was a hot, restless night and I've got to take a quick nap before this afternoon's session at The Press Room.
