For a while this afternoon I was assigning people to lists and shifting things around on my work web pages. I'm going to add names to the ownership of some listserv accounts next week (I sent announcements on those lists today after subscribing all of the new folks to them.) I waited four years to get a job audit and an accurate job title and a pay raise of about $20,000 to reflect the responsibility (I compared notes with others on campus doing the same job). There are moments when this job shift really galls me - some staff were offered $20,000 raises with their new jobs. Not me. Now that all of that marketing responsibility is off my plate, when will I get a raise? If ever.
