Subject: RE: Summer Declutter & Fitness - JULY '13
I always knew that Kat was reading these threads, even though in recent months she didn't participate very much. I didn't realize how much of my audience she was until she died. Posting is harder now, but there are folks who are regulars who have benefited from the moral support and sharing who I hope are still visiting. I know there are also people who lurk, and I hope they'll step forward and let us know if any of this helped them. I suggested earlier in the thread that I might just change the name and let this run for another month at least, and I am going to do that. This was a different kind of month, and there might be more material from lurkers that needs to come in and make a coherent whole with the loss of such a supportive member.

I am sure that deciding to move beyond the chaos at my workplace is a result of the events of the week. Why deny myself and my children the chance to meet lots of family at the happy event of a wedding simply because the place where I work is an odd state right now? I know Kat would applaud the move. But I don't think it is wise to continue to say "Kat would do this or that" because I suspect each of us had a different reading on her participation in the declutter threads.

The thing I think that we are most proud of is that we were able to help Michelle (LilyFestre) through the fear and trauma of a complex cancer diagnosis. It's one of the reasons I'm glad that we were here. Linn has had some horrific hospital experiences to work through with Tom, and Liz the Squeak, despite the fact that she has kept her cards fairly close to her vest of late, has had an outlet here amongst friends as she dealt with work and choral issues. Though she hasn't been here in a while, Susan/WYSIWYG has had quite a time of recovering from surgery and getting herself back into alignment with her world. I've languished in the paperwork morass that held my position description hostage at work, but I hope to soon break free if it. Here's hoping that by the end of the year that we're all closer to where we want to be, and that we can lift our cups to celebrate the cheering section that KatLaughing provided for all of us.
