Never meant to imply that I "give a shit", Greg. No, I never thought that it mattered in the least how tall he is...I just thought it might be an amusing subject for a new thread...specially for all us folks who apparently have too much time on our hands, otherwise why would we bother to even post to such threads? It's idle amusement, nothing more. If not for having this old folkie friend who has a hate fetish on for Tom Cruise, I'd probably never have even thought of it in the first place.

I've liked some of his movies fine. He acted pretty well in them, for the most part. He's definitely a handsome man, and probably a pretty skilled actor. I couldn't care less what his religious views are, cos I don't make a point of automatically disliking (in other words prejudging) people merely because they are into Scientology or some other thing I'm not into...I'd rather know more about them than immediately damning them over one fact about their lives.

So I don't give a hoot if he is into scientology. His choice. I'm not. My choice. Fine either way.

I just think it's funny that this friend of mine hates the man so much when he doesn't really have any substantial reasons for hating him. Now, if Tom's bodyguards were to kick my friend down a flight of stairs upon Tom's express orders...I could understand the resentment! ;-D But nothing like that has ever happened.

Y' hear me, Mike? You've got no reason to hate Tom Cruise. Just get over it.
