Does anyone have a printer they are happy with then?

Yes, me too. HP Laserjet 1200 that's been running for 13 years. I probably print less these days, but it's printed a lot in its time. I gave up using HP cartridges about 8 years ago and use replacement maxi cartridges, usually bought 3 at a time for discount price, and they last me a years.
