Thread Name: Fire in Praise's Home
Subject: RE: Fire in Praise's Home
Where Praise asks And why all this outpouring of warm fuzzies for ME? Hey! I have JESUS! Why does your outpouring not go to BRENDY? I would answer Because I like you, Praise! You and I have had differences of opinion about a lot of things, some of them gods, but hey, I've always liked YOU, even while I might have not shared your opinion... and there is nothing more frightening than fire, I am SO glad all the important parts of your life survived! I've never had to survive a fire, but I know a lot of people who've lost a lot to it, and it is devastating. I wish you the best during your difficult recovery (and it is difficult to recover from nearly losing EVERYTHING - yeah, yeah, all is safe and you ought to be happy but you still have the shakes, and they've been hard-earned. Perhaps it wasn't just the Mudcat that made you cry - perhaps we were just the last straw -- I say We even though I have only just read this thread, as I had somehow misunderstood that it was about Praising a Fire in One's Home...)

I'll try to find a phrasing for my wish for you that isn't telling you how to feel or act, I dislike that too - how about I hope that you can give yourself a break for a while and allow yourself, and Hardiman too, to be closer to basket cases than you might be thinking you ought to be?

Boy that's hard. If it doesn't make sense the sentiment is Cut Yourself Some Slack (but without any imperatives in the mood).
