Lo, like the dawning of inevitable day
Approaches now the Next of Kay.
Time and the world march on; duress
Forces the birth of New BS
And every voice partakes the line
That leadeth the Kays to Forty-Nine!
Now all our art and skill and tricks
Reduce the gap of posts to six
And ere the day or week are through,
The Forty-Ninth Kay will come through.
Than shall our labors doubled be
As raising our eyes aloft, we see
Like a glimmering star of hope divine
The Fiftieth follows Forty-Nine!
