I asked Tom a little while ago if we'd be there this evening and he's not confident of getting from the car to the house.

So, as much as we'd BOTH like to see everyone, I guess it's just not going to happen.

Tom had enough trouble getting from the easy chair back into his wheelchair a little while ago -- and he didn't have his whistle with him to call me, but I happened to come into the room at the right time. (Thank goodness!)

I just ordered 4 referee whistles with lanyards so he can have them at pertinent places (and around his neck).
