Thread Name: Lyr Req: Come Back Baby
Subject: Lyr Add: COME BACK, BABY (from Mance Lipscomb)
I listened to this song via Spotify, and I found it had several more verses than the one posted by CraigS back in 2003. Did Lipscomb record it more than once? Maybe, but I don't think so.

COME BACK, BABY
As sung by Mance Lipscomb on "You Got to Reap What You Sow" (Arhoolie, 1993) 4:04

Come back, baby; please don't go.
The way I love you, baby, you'll never know.
Come back, baby; let's talk it over one more time.

My heart's in trouble and in misery.
Ain't got nobody talk sweet talk to me.
Come back, baby; let's talk it over one more time.

Lmmmmm, lonesome day,
Seem like tomorrow gonna be same ol' way.
Come back, baby; can't we talk it over one more time?

I left her standin' in doorway cryin'.
Hated to go, leave that girl behin'.
Come back, baby; let's talk it over one more time.

I love you, babe; I can't help myself.
Don't get you, don't want nobody else.
Come back, baby; let's talk it over one more time.

Went up on the mountain, looked down at the sun.
Ain't seen nobody love me like you have done.
Come back, baby; let's talk it over one more time.

I love you; I can't help myself.
Don't get you, don't want nobody else.
Come back, baby; let's talk it over one more time.

Come back, baby; can't we talk it over one more time?

Come back, baby; baby, please don't go.
Way I love you, girl, you'll never know.
Come back, baby; let's talk it over one more time.

Down to the river, couldn't get across.
Jumped on a alligator, thought he was some horse.
Come back, baby; let's talk it over one more time.
