I am far, far more than you know or, rather, think you know. Yes, I have starred in films, plays, and television while living a simple life as an ordinary librarian. Shaw, Shakespeare, Odets, Williams -- I've done 'em all. Started young, about 4 years old, in local productions and quickly went from grade school plays to the local theater group. Then I answered my country's call and pretty much gave up my career in the theater except for a few plays we did in bunkers and foxholes to keep up the morale of the other troops, something hard to do in a blizzard at -24F and the hard thing in your pocket isn't a gun or a banana but a hand grenade and mortar shells are exploding around you and your audience.
