Thread Name: Lyr Req: The Wagon drivers song
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The Wagon drivers song
There were another two verses at least: one slightly suggestive - and one which I suspect was to make it a bit more respectable (well, sort of, - perhaps a bit.)

She laid in me arms and the time went so fast
I thought I'd make hay while the sun shined at last
I felt her heart beat like a bird in a snare
And (can't remember the punchline, sadly!)
And Dobbin etc

I said 'Will you marry?' She said 'Yes I will
Of this kind of loving I'll ne'er get me fill
'Let's go to the church, then you know that'll be right'
'And then we can do it from morning 'till night.'
And Dobbin etc.
