Of course, that wasn't exactly what Gore said. In fact, that's not what Gore said at all. The caption says this:Former Vice President Al Gore references computer modeling to suggest that the north polar ice cap may lose virtually all of its ice within the next seven years. "Some of the models suggest that there is a 75 percent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during some of the summer months, could be completely ice-free within the next five to seven years," says Gore.
Turns out that Gore worded his statement very carefully, and he is quoting a Dr. Maslowski (sp?). He says the computer modeling suggests to Dr. Maslowski that this will happen. And at the end, he repeats that this is Dr. Maslowski's projection, and "we will find out" if this is true.
And to a degree, Maslowski was heading in the right direction. There's a whole lot less ice at the North Pole, than there used to be.
But it's interesting that the Website [http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/] rephrases what Gore said in an attempt to make Gore look foolish, and then Songwronger rephrases it again, in an attempt to make Gore look even more foolish.
But if you actually listen to what Gore actually said, it makes both www.thegatewaypundit.com AND Songwronger look like the fools.
