There was a great song, years ago, that reminds me of deluded 'do-gooders'...and it goes like this:

"I was still breathing,
Sweet lies from a song..
A saint in the evening,
A leper at dawn"

So many 'righteous'(?) 'causes' have been predicated on lies and/or bad science.....and the motive for that, is always well hidden...but nonetheless, still predicated on a lie, to pull your emotions away from the common sense of the TRUTH.
Never underestimate the power of angry crowds of very stupid people!
