Sorry Jon, I wasn't demeaning anyone else's technology, just demeaning us here in the States for not using what already exists. There are numerous reliable and easy to use voting machines that do not present the problems we saw with the punch cards. In every one of those that I have seen, the ballot design is straightforward and difficult to confuse. There will always be mistakes and people who "mess up," but not on the grand scale we saw in Florida.
