You two, good luck with the VCR tapes! I have a tall bookcase I built for books that now holds all of the tapes (they used to be stacked around but I got rid of a lot during 2013). I need to start digitizing them.

This is the 1 hour program that started me on my journey of weight loss. This program hosted by Dr. Michael Mosley played as one of a series on PBS last spring (the UK program is Horizon) and this episode looks at forms of fasting to live longer and healthier. The alternate day method has worked for me. Every other day eat only 500 calories, and on the "feed" days eat your normal diet. Be careful not to eat too much protein on your feed days or you can end up a bit constipated. I haven't stayed with as much this over the last couple of weeks, but today is the alternate day, so I'm having a late small lunch and maybe a piece of fruit in the evening. I've lost 35 pounds since last April and have about 15 more to lose. http://vimeo.com/54089463.

I'm working on a resume for a job opening at the university. It would be a lot of work but the pay would be tremendously improved. Good thing that as I've decluttered my office I've organized my samples of my writing. I need to pull and scan or photograph a few for the application.
