Aa I have gotten up and had my simple brekkie, I consider that R is sicker, I am "weller" and it may be another take care of R day - pushing the healing herbs. I am excited (!) that I have one almost totally clear nasal passage. Such a rarity. I am hopeful that I am taking something that is causing this. Time will tell.

Back in the early 70s I went to the hospital clinic for the problem of chronically closed passages. The Dr. told me I needed an operation for a deviated septum but come back when I was not in school (working on M.Ed at the time). Fortunately, I remembered, in that hiatus, that I could breathe totally for one month in 1967, therefore it could not be a deviated septum causing the problem. But what?

About 30 years later, asking every health care person I encountered, I picked up a book at the library about sinuses; it fell open to the page telling that "for thousands of years the Chinese" have used ephedra to clear the sinuses. That month, I was taking epinephrine but it made me dizzy and I quit. Never put the cause and effect together. I tried drinking ephedra tea but --- it made me dizzy! So, yes! I am hoping I may inadvertently be on track of something that may clear my breathing.

"They" took out my tonsils when I was four because I was a "mouth breather"; did nothing. Even moments of being able to breathe well cause me to get excited. I treasure every one of those moments. I believe it is also a factor in my environmental problems. The nasal passages have scillia (sp) which catch foreign materials. Breathing through the mouth does not offer this protection.

Those are my thoughts on this 0 F but sunny day. I won't be able to pot as it is too cool upstairs. Or take a hot bath - same reason plus the water heater seems to be dying. And I am not going out for a walk! I need to write a message to a friend and then.... it is me and the computer and current novel and a sick R.
