Gnu, thanks for the Zappa link. I haven't listened to any of his output for years. As a consequence, I'd forgotten just how creative & ground-breaking he was. He produced a number of tracks with full orchestra which attracted some flak from the 'serious music' critics. His approach to orchestration was verging on "Everything but the kitchen sink", it has to be said, but Zappa loved working on a 'large canvas'. Yah boo sucks to the Music snobs!

Even when celebrating feels like the last thing one wants to do, a post will appear that changes everything. Sometimes a wise homily...sometimes some gentle humour...often a combination of the two. Either way, "Les Mots Juste" have an almost magical way of appearing, when they are most needed.
