I remember the first time that I saw a black man. In England, about 1946, just after the war. Dad said to us "Don't stare, he's just an ordinary man with different colored skin".

So I have never understood why people are prejudiced.

Unfortunately that is the way that OTHER people behave, like ignorant jerks.

Now, because this society of ignorant jerks have forced their erroneous beliefs on society, the victims of their ignorance feel that they have to respond and try to fit in.

Now, along come other ignorant jerks, and blame the victims for their behavior.

I am not religious, but I recall that someone once said "Love thy neighbor".
