Thread Name: 'B' sides of favorite records (songs)
Subject: RE: BS: ' B' sides of favorite records
I used to have a 45 of Lorne Greene singing the theme from "Bonanza." Yes, there were lyrics. They started off "We got a hold of a potful of gold, a bonanza..." And it went on for a couple of verses. Wish I still had it. The B side was "The Ballad of Johnny Ringo," the first real gunfighter ballad I ever heard. It began with Lorne's narrative, "He lay face down in the desert sand, clutching a sixgun in his hand. Shot from behind, I thought he was dead. Under his heart was a spot of red. Ringo..."

Anybody remember these songs?
