Have just checked with my sis (doctor) and she says never ever put faeces of any species in the compost heap if you intend to put the compost on food-growing areas of the garden, She says that there are innumerable bacteria which are NOT killed by the temperature inside a compost heap. E Coli for example. On the contrary they'd multiply beautifully and you'd have sacks (literally) of trouble.
