He thinks, wrongly, that you are as reactionary and discriminatory as he is Eliza.

Mind you, some of your comments regarding healthcare for prisoners does make me feel rather sad. Nobody in a civilised country is sentenced to inferior healthcare. If it is available on The NHS it is offered to all. Prison healthcare is something I used to lead on nationally as a CQC / HMIP lead, and I can say with certainty that 1) prisoners, as anybody with restraint imposed are best served in side room accommodation for the safety of others, including reporters trying to gain access in high profile cases. 2). Patient line and other TV services are available to all patients if they can pay for it. A prisoner has no rights over and above any other patient. Neither do they have any restrictions over and above either other than freedom of movement.

There are many prisons and many models of healthcare. Where a prison has an adequate health centre, NHS trusts may send teams to do clinics including some invasive work, whereas in other prisons, even dentistry has to be outside. The funding and partnership in prison healthcare is variable across the country. There is no one model.

You mention a gender reassignment case. Psychological disorder is dealt with under NICE guidelines. It isn't helpful to mention an anecdotal case and infer a patient is less deserving than another patient. Yes, they are prisoners. Yes, they are kept away from society, but Nelson Mandela said you judge a country by the way it treats it's prisoners. On that matter, we hold our heads reasonably high. At least in terms of not denying NHS care.

That's the problem with your comments on this. The likes of Akenaton think it makes their bigotry respectable.
