One thing this thread has done is show me that in some areas, mild means something different to others. Quite a few people here speaking of pale ale etc.

Mild tends to be dark and weak as I always knew it. Someone above mentioned that some breweries are making porter and branding it as mild.

You wouldn't have thought that a beer going out of fashion would attract so much confusion!

Still, order an upside down mix in Mansfield and see what you get these days....
