Bubblyrat,when I was in the RAF, in the mid 60's the mild on tap at NAFFI's in Lincolnshire and Rutland was Ansells King Pin. And what a great pint it was. Mind you, I was comparing it with the local Newark brewery, "Holes". Aptly named as the beer was like piss. Their only grace was "Castle Stout" which was smooth, dark and creamy. Needless to say, when they were bought out by Courages, the only beer to get the chop was..... "Castle stout".
