I knew and worked with Simon on & off for a number of years, including Radio Kent. When at the Arts Council I commissioned Simon to record the songs & stories of Ambrose Cooper and with Chris Wood, the Listening to the River project. Before he died we had been talking about working on the Deadman Island project about the history of the Medway Estuary.
