"Lazy and stupid"......On reflection, I am being unfair to the American People, who seem to sincerely believe in freedom AND democracy. They have been shamelessly manipulated by a very corrupt political class, who decided the time was right for a black president....flavour of the decade, as it were. They are the experts, they knew that President Obama could achieve nothing is the way of real change, even if he wanted. It was a sop to the centre liberals....and the black vote would ensure his election.

Comparisons with FDR are ludicrous, we live in a different time, we are different people.....Global Capitalism has organised itself. It can never, now, be reformed, certainly not a single generation.
