Now, this is very dark but I laughed out loud. Stanfest has been cancelled and that is a plain shame. It's very sad news. Just now when I heard the radio news while waiting for The Vinyl Café (it's good; CBC Radio 1) and the folk community has rallied in an attempt to pay homage to one of the good ones, Stan Rogers! This Saturday's concert with whoever at whatever church is billed as a Cat 5 Céilidh. Arthur won't be a Cat 5 hurricane but he sure as hell might screw up the concert. Made ME laugh, anyway.

Hmmm... is that a little bit ironic or just unfortunate? Unfortunate. Yeah. Not ironic at all, is it? I am minded of an Irish comic (David Byrne?) who said sommat like... if you were a city planner stuck in traffic enroute to a meeting where you were giving a talk about managing traffic, that would be ironic but rain on your wedding day is just unfortunate, adding that Alanis Morisette (spg?) is a 'silly cow'.
